Server Policies and Guidelines

1.0 SERVER RULES

Below are our server Policies, Rules, and Sanctions. By registering to our server you agree to the following Rules, Policies, and Sanctions in-game, website, and Discord. It is highly recommended that you read and understand the entire page, so you won't have any questions after. There's an entire history behind these rules, and they are meant to serve one purpose, to keep a decent and educated community on our server.

1.1 Fairness Restrictions:
Members are strictly prohibited from utilizing any third-party software, including but not limited to hacks, accelerators, packet sniffers, editors, bots, or any other tool or program that may interfere with the client and/or server operations. Exploiting in-game bugs, regardless of the circumstances, is strictly forbidden. This includes registering fake guilds to manipulate participation slots during Castle Siege events. Using multiple accounts to gain unfair advantages, such as accumulating additional credits, is strictly prohibited. Any attempt to manipulate game mechanics, including glitching, is strictly forbidden. Concealing discovered bugs or glitches, even if not actively exploiting them, is considered a violation of this rule. All bugs or glitches must be promptly reported to the administration. Violations of these rules will result in severe penalties, including a permanent account block without exceptions. Associated accounts may also face similar consequences.

1.2 Code of Good Manners:

The /post chat function is reserved exclusively for English communication, as it serves as a platform for public discourse in our international server. Its primary purpose is to facilitate trade announcements, party matching, guild recruitment, and assistance for new players. Members are strictly prohibited from using profanity or issuing threats towards other players. Any use of offensive language or repeated insults, whether directed at individuals or families, will be met with disciplinary action, ranging from temporary bans to permanent account blocks. Discrimination in any form, including based on factors such as place of birth, politics, religion, or sexual orientation, is strictly forbidden. These rules also extend to character names, guild names, and guild emblems. Respect for all members of our staff is paramount, and any disrespect or insults directed towards them will not be tolerated under any circumstances. Violations of these rules, regardless of the context or manner in which they occur, may result in warnings, character bans, or permanent account blocks, depending on the severity of the offense.

1.3 Staff Impersonation:

Do NOT act, threaten or request anything in the name of a staff member or the staff itself.
Do NOT pretend to be a friend or relative of any member of our staff team.
- Punishment: Permanent Account Block, and if necessary associated accounts as well.

1.4 Advertising Policy:

Members are strictly prohibited from engaging in any form of advertising, except for the following permitted content:
- Trading Items (Buy, Sell & Trade)
- MU Guides Links
Any form of advertisement for servers, cheats, inappropriate material (such as pornography), or any unwanted names or links is strictly forbidden.
Additionally, spamming in public chat channels, including normal chat, gens chat, and /post, is not tolerated.
Violations of this policy may result in the following consequences:
Warning, Character Ban or in the worst case a Permanent Account Ban.
If necessary, associated accounts may also be subject to disciplinary action.

1.5 Trading of Accounts:

Members are not permitted to engage in the trading or exchange of game accounts under any circumstances.

1.6 Trading Items for Real Money:

Transactions involving the exchange of in-game items or currency for real-world currency are strictly forbidden.

1.7 Selling or Buying Leveling or Item Farming Services:

Any form of transaction involving the purchase or sale of services related to leveling, item farming, or any other in-game activity for real money is prohibited.

1.8 Requesting "Taxes" or Payments for In-Game Benefits:

Members are prohibited from soliciting or demanding payments, fees, or any form of compensation in exchange for in-game advantages, such as spots in parties or access to specific content.

1.9 Misleading Reports

At ProdigyMU, we maintain a zero-tolerance policy towards baseless accusations of cheating, hacking, or any form of exploitation within our community. Accusations made without substantial evidence not only unfairly tarnish the reputation of innocent players but also reflect poorly on our server as a whole. We emphasize the importance of maintaining a positive and respectful environment for all members. Should you become aware of any suspicious activity or potential rule violations, we encourage you to promptly report them to our administration team or via our official Discord platforms. It is essential to provide concrete evidence or detailed information to support your claims. We strictly prohibit the fabrication of accusations driven by personal grievances such as anger or envy. Falsely accusing or reporting other players or staff members is a serious breach of our community guidelines and will be met with appropriate disciplinary action. Furthermore, we emphasize the absolute prohibition of tampering with or falsifying screenshots or any other evidence. Any attempts to manipulate evidence will result in severe consequences, including warnings, character bans, and potentially permanent account blocks, depending on the severity of the offense. We are committed to maintaining fairness and integrity within our community, and we rely on the cooperation and diligence of all members to uphold these standards.

2.0 REFUND POLICY

2.1 Policy on Digital Product Sales and Refunds:
Our products sold on our website are considered as digital products.
We do not issue refunds for digital products once the order is submitted.
We recommend contacting us for assistance if you experience any issues receiving or using our products.
By buying our product from our website you agree that, because of the nature of the products sold, which are digital, there are no refunds under any circumstance.
If you submit any payment you agree that you will not dispute, ask for a partial refund, or a full refund.
If you do not agree to the above do not submit any payment.

4.0 ACCOUNT BLOCKING POLICY

4.1 Restrictions and Consequences of Account Blocking:
All accounts associated with a block may face the following restrictions:
- Login access to the server may be denied.
- Untradeable items may be removed.
- Purchased items may be removed.
- Usage of any items in possession may be restricted.
- Usage of any in-game currency (Zen, Jewels, WCoins) may be restricted.
- Usage of any website feature may be restricted.
- No refund or compensation will be provided for any item or service removed.
- Accounts blocked indefinitely may have their account data removed after an extended period of inactivity.
- Blocked accounts are not eligible to participate in contests, events, or giveaways.
- ProdigyMU is not liable for any inconvenience caused by the account blocking policy.

5.0 SERVER ADMIN STAFF AUTHORITY

5.1 Roles and Responsibilities of Server Staff:
The server staff is composed of Administrators, Game Masters, and Discord Moderators.
- Administrators have ultimate authority over server operations, including decisions related to community management, rules enforcement, and technical matters.
- Game Masters are responsible for enforcing server rules, assisting players, and resolving disputes. They have the authority to issue warnings, temporary bans, or permanent account blocks as necessary.
- Discord Moderators provide assistance with technical issues, payment processing, and general inquiries. They do not have the authority to enforce server rules or issue disciplinary actions.
All staff members are expected to conduct themselves in a professional and respectful manner at all times. Abuse of authority, favoritism, or any form of misconduct will not be tolerated and may result in the removal of staff privileges or other disciplinary actions.

6.0 JURISDICTION OF GAME MASTERS

6.1 Jurisdiction and Responsibilities of Game Masters:
Game Masters (GMs) are responsible for enforcing server rules, maintaining order, and assisting players in our online community. They have the authority to issue warnings, temporary bans, or permanent account blocks as necessary to uphold the integrity of our server environment. While GMs strive to be fair and impartial in their decisions, their primary goal is to ensure a positive and enjoyable experience for all members of our community. GMs may intervene in situations involving harassment, cheating, or other forms of disruptive behavior to maintain a safe and welcoming environment. In addition to enforcing server rules, GMs are available to answer questions, provide guidance, and address concerns from players. They serve as a resource for resolving disputes and promoting fair play among all members of our community. Players are encouraged to report any violations of server rules or incidents of misconduct to our GM team for investigation. Reports should include detailed information and evidence to support the claims. GMs will review each report thoroughly and take appropriate action based on the findings. While GMs have the authority to enforce server rules and issue disciplinary actions, they are not above the rules themselves. GMs are expected to adhere to the same standards of conduct as other players and may face disciplinary action for any violations of server rules or policies. We value the contributions of our GM team and rely on their dedication and professionalism to maintain a positive gaming environment for all members of our community.

7.0 GUIDELINES FOR GAME MASTER CONDUCT

7.1 Prohibited Actions for a Game Master:
Game Masters (GMs) play a crucial role in enforcing server rules, maintaining order, and ensuring a positive gaming experience for all members of our community. As trusted representatives of the server administration, GMs are expected to conduct themselves with integrity, professionalism, and respect for all players. To uphold these standards, GMs are prohibited from engaging in the following actions:
- Abuse of authority: GMs must exercise their powers responsibly and refrain from using them for personal gain or to exert undue influence over other players.
- Favoritism: GMs must treat all players fairly and impartially, regardless of their personal relationships or affiliations.
- Harassment: GMs must refrain from engaging in any form of harassment, discrimination, or offensive behavior towards players or other staff members.
- Cheating: GMs must adhere to the same rules and standards of conduct as other players and are strictly prohibited from using cheats, exploits, or unauthorized tools to gain an unfair advantage.
- Disclosure of confidential information: GMs must maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information related to server operations, player accounts, or other internal matters.
- Conflict of interest: GMs must avoid situations where their personal interests or relationships could interfere with their ability to perform their duties objectively and impartially.
Any GM found to be in violation of these prohibitions may face disciplinary action, up to and including removal from the GM team and other sanctions as deemed appropriate by server administration.
